Emily Lange enjoys writing fantasy novels, sometimes dabbling in science fiction or historical fiction. Crafting fantasy landscapes and breathing life into new characters captivate her time and imagination.
Emily’s parents were conscripted to write down her imaginings before she could write for herself. After she could act as her own scribe nothing stood in her way. However, it wasn’t until her first National Novel Writing Month challenge in 2012 that she considered writing seriously. Since then she has expanded, with more ideas than she could ever follow through. Balancing writing with education was surprisingly easy because of the flexible rigor of a home school education, and she hopes to maintain her writing schedule while in college.
Emily is currently attending Elon University, a liberal arts college in North Carolina. She plans to pursue a double major in English Literature and Philosophy while exploring many areas relating to writing, art, history, anthropology, and linguistics.
Traveling to different parts of the United States, Italy, and nooks within North Carolina itself has given Emily a taste for travel that she plans to continue to develop. She has a love for several textile arts including quilting, knitting, embroidery, dressmaking, cosplay, and more. These crafts often occupy her when she is not writing or doing school work. Emily is an appreciator of words and clever puns, a lover of board games and Legend of Zelda. She supports the Oxford comma.
