Two Years of Blogging!

Today marks two years since my first blog post went live back in 2016! I started this blog as I was wrapping up college applications and so far it has followed me through my first year as an undergraduate, drafting a novel plus several short stories, and many many books. It’s been immensely rewarding to watch this space grow as I continue to push myself to produce great content for fabulous people.

I won’t make this too long, but I do want to celebrate this day. Blogging can often be a challenge, and sometimes I wonder if I really want to put words on a page that has the potential to be seen by so many people. But even during my busiest times this blog has continually been a creative outlet that I can turn to.

In the last year, I’ve started sharing bits of stories-in-progress through Weekend Writing Warriors posts. I’ve filled the days with wonderful words and started giving more detailed reflections on books I’ve read recently. I’ve also increased my numbers of posts per month, going from 5-6 a month to 9-10!

This coming year I’m going to continue participating in the Weekend Writing Warriors posts, probably still on alternating weekends. I already have lots of exciting posts planned through the end of this year and in 2019. I’m currently trying to decide if I will continue my Word of the Day posts into 2019, or switch over to a Prompt of the Day, with some sort of writing/drawing/creative prompt for each day. Have thoughts on which you would enjoy more? Share in the comments!

I can’t wait to spend another year with you all and Never Idly Dreaming!
