Mystery Blogger Award

mystery-blogger

Hello all! I’m breaking away from my normal blogging schedule a bit because I was nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award! The nomination came from The Non-Alcoholic Student, a fantastic blogger who loves to write and study as much as I do.

The rules for the award are as follows:

  1. Put the award logo/image on your blog.
  2. List the rules.
  3. Thank whoever nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
  4. Mention the creator of the award and provide a link as well.
  5. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself.
  6. Answer the questions you were asked.
  7. You have to nominate 10 people.
  8. Notify your nominees by commenting on their blog.
  9. Ask your nominees any five questions of your choice, with one weird or funny question.

Let’s get started!

Three Things About Me

  1. I have an almost irrational fear of frogs.
  2. I rarely listen to music, I typically listen to audiobooks instead.

Questions I Received

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Telekinesis probably, the ability to move stuff around with my mind would be amazing! Or the ability to manipulate elements, like channelers in The Wheel of Time.

What was the last book you read or movie you watched?

I just finished A Clash of Kings by George R. R. Martin. I enjoyed the book, and I look forward to posting more details about my reading experience in an upcoming Bookwyrm Report.

What’s your favourite memory?

Oh wow, this is a tough one. The common theme throughout a lot of my favorite memories is my family. The one that’s sticking out is the day I took my younger brother to see Lego Batman, it was the first time the two of us went to a movie by ourselves and we had a blast! This was almost exactly a year ago, and when we exited the theater, we got a text from our mom with a picture of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, the game the whole family had been waiting to arrive for many months! Needless to say, my brother and I were ecstatic on the drive home. The rest of the day had us taking turns starting our new game as a family. Legend of Zelda games have been part of family activities for quite a while, and this was an exciting new way to celebrate family time.

Where in the world would you most like to visit?

Currently I’m looking into a study abroad program that travels to Dunedin, New Zealand in the spring of my third year of college. While I would love to go all over the world, New Zealand is next on my list!

What is your greatest quality?

I am rarely daunted when a project requires a lot of time and effort. I’m willing to break down the pieces into manageable chunks, even if that means learning new skills along the way.

The Questions For My Nominees

If you could learn a new language instantly, what would you choose and why?

What book(s) do you reread over and over?

What’s your favorite comfort food?

Do you plan your blog posts in advance, or write them as the ideas come?

If you could have any mythical creature as a companion, which would you choose?

And Last But Not Least…My Nominees!

  1. Thank you so much for the tag Emily! I’ve enjoyed getting to know you at school this year and am excited for more adventures in the future! While I don’t post tags on my blog, I’ll drop my answers to your questions here if that’s alright.

    1. If I could learn a language instantly… can I pick all of them?
    2. If I’m ever in a rut and need something light and quick, I always turn to anything written by Ally Carter! Her Heist Society series is my favorite for a reread because it’s spunky and involves teenage art thieves, so what’s not to love?
    3. My favorite comfort food is chicken noodle soup with homebaked bread. My dad makes amazing noodles, and my mom makes amazing bread, so together they are the perfect team.
    4. I plan my posts in advance. I title each post, even if there’s no body text, and schedule them, then fill in the text as the date gets closer. I’ve found that this system keeps me accountable and helps me post regularly.
    5. My knowledge of mythical creatures is shamefully small so I’m not sure if I’m qualified to answer this question, but maybe a phoenix? Not just because it’s our university’s mascot but also because Dumbledore had a phoenix, and if it works for Dumbledore it works for me.

    Thanks again!!
